The final event of Apollo was Demo Day, where 20 teams presented their projects to an audience of investors, mentors, and ecosystem leaders. Despite the virtual context, the pitch session was exciting. It was so gratifying to see the results. These teams have labored during the last six weeks and now all that work has come to fruition.
ClimateDataPool was fourth in line and our pitch went smoothly. We introduced the project with problem/solution slides and did a fast live demo.
Then we returned to our (updated) Demodeck to cover next steps, timeline, asks, and connect.
After the presentations people gathered on Airmeet tables. For many this was the last chance to network in person, although various Apollo channels will remain open for future communication.
One of the prerequisites of Demo Day was setting up a Gitcoin grant, as that’s how the organizers will keep in touch. ClimateDataPool’s grant exists now (you’re welcome to contribute :)
This is also the last post of this sub-blog. We’ll follow up with an in depth review of our Apollo experience in the main blog at chaine.substack.com.
